I was diagnosed with Adult ADD ten years ago and I have tried so many medications that did not work: Strattera, Adderal XR, Provigil, Vyvanse, Wellbutrin and Adderall. All are higher doses. For the past 7 years I have been taking 90mg of Adderall a day. My doctor told me I could either take 90mg in the morning or 60mg in the morning and 30mg at noon. The problem I have been having lately is if I take the 90mg at 8am by 11am it wears off and I bounce. If I do 60 and 30, I can't even tell I've taken the 30mg. I've asked my doctor over and over if there is something else I can try and he keeps saying, "No," and he says 90mg is the most I can take. I am a big guy, but I've lost 140 pounds since August, so he keeps saying my ADD symptoms will improve as I lose weight. I can't tell that they have, but lately, they seem to be getting worse. I can't focus for anything and I am falling behind at work. For 70% of the day I feel like I am in a cloud. There has to be something else I can do...Any suggestions? I have an appointment with a different doctor later this week and would like to ask him to put me on something other than the adderall, so if anyone has had the same problems I've been having, the advice would be much appreciated.

More help needed concerning Adderall
My husband was diagnosed with ADD seven years ago and it continues to be as difficult to live with as it was seven years ago. Our primary care doctor prescribed Adderall and he is currently taking 60 mg.
This spring we saw a pediatric doctor concerning my son’s behavior at school. This Doctor specializes in diagnoses behavior problems in children. It was this Doctor that told us that Adderall could agitate symptoms of OCD. A light bulb went off in my head, “Wow, it was about seven years ago that my husband began hoarding!”
We are now at war, in a constant battle over his piles taking over the house. The piles are unfortunately beginning to win. The outside is worse then the inside. Obviously this war is figurative but the constant arguments between my husband and I are so very real! He wants me and the kids to live with his piles and we are not comfortable living in this environment It is so unfair for us to live around him.
Seven years ago he was able to save what he needed and get rid of the rest, now the rest remains. For example he had always scrapped cars, took new parts off and took the rest of the car to the scrap yard. Now he is taking all the wiring out, door handle, etc. in preparation for the scrap yard this takes days and sometimes the vehicle never really leaves our house.
I need some direction or intervention that does not cost a lot of money. Please help

I would go back to that doctor, talk with him about the specific issue (even though he specializes in kids) and ask for a referral from him to someone who can help you and your husband determine if the Adderall is causing an issue. There are lots of meds that can address ADD - perhaps Adderall isn't the best fit in this case.
I am just going to throw an

You are doing all the right things - and getting the opinion of another doctor is a good idea, too. You could ask the new doctor about the possibility of trying Focalin - I didn't see that one on your list. Also, do make sure that you are exercising. Aerobic exercise (the kind that makes you sweat) is great for helping one focus better (and get you out of that cloud). You might even consider exercising in the morning for 30-60 minutes before you go to work and then again at lunch time if you find that it is helping you. The effects of exercise on focus last about 2-3 hours.
