When we think about an athlete who performs with passion we think ‘intensity’ and ‘tenacity,’ yet when we think about romantic passion, we somehow assume that ‘it just sort of happens.’ Why is that?! How many relationships could have been salvaged if partners did not make this assumption about ‘effortlessness?’ Aargh!
