And I was diagnosed at age 43, JUST in time :)
The only problem is I am an Excellent Driver. I think I figured out at a young age that I was easily distracted in the car, liked to drive fast and reacted too aggressively in an attempt to outmaneuver the idiot Trying to cause the wreck. (Crap... there is the road rage ;) All kidding aside... No tickets since 1 in 2004 (Speed Trap by a sudden 10 mph drop in a small town), 1 in 1998 and 1 in 1992. Some crazy 6 year cycle. One wreck that was my fault in 1992. I was running late, go figure... My DW gets the real credit here, because she complained about almost every action I took in the car. So... after a couple of years I really SAW how I was driving and understood what she was saying. Lucky when I was young, Smarter as I got older :)
The ADD tie to obesity will get my bookmark For Sure.
See, oddly enough my DH

See, oddly enough my DH is not obese, far from it. 6'4" and weighs about 140. The rest...him to a 'tee'.
He doesn't have road rage, but is all over the road, going 45 one minute (in a 55 mph zone) and 75 the next seemingly completely unaware. Very easily distracted too.
Yes, all of that was "UNTREATED" and it terrifies me. I may not always like his behaviors, but I certainly don't want him to die because of his untreated ADHD. I sent DH the link...whether he listens or not could go either way. He smokes, is VERY VERY inactive, barely eats enough to stay alive, drinks excessively...with all of the medical issues that run in his family...yeah, it is terrifying.
Interesting...

About the nicotine... I have mild asthma and used to react badly to the second hand smoke, so I never started smoking. I did eat plenty of the easy to access food and loved getting out at lunch hour for food happiness. No matter what kind of crap day I had, I could have an awesome meal. (How to get to be obese) I've maintained my weight for almost 2 years and don't intend to change. My brain is Very used to the stimulent and I know I could over-eat again if I wanted to do so. Sadly my DW still disagrees. My sister was diagnosed about 6 months ago and has lost weight. I did not mention the diagnosis, because discussing ADD is never too productive and my DW does not like my DS too much. So why bring up her diagnosis? When it got brought up in conversation when my mom was around I was later asked by my DW Why I had not told her about it? I was keeping a secret... Really? It's my sister's personal business, it's a sore subject in my house, so why would I bring it up? Sorry for the rant...
Everything made total sense in that video and when I hear about Adderall "Holidays" I say "Why the "F" would I EVER want to feel like I used to???" I'm glad I don't smoke, rarely drink and drive better :)
I hope your husband watches and listens...
Wow...I think it is a must

Wow...I think it is a must listen for all...it is amazing how 'accurate' what this guy says when it is applied to my husband...
What scares me the most is it says that "UNTREATED" ADHDers are more likely to die before the age of 43. :( Whether through driving problems, poor oral hygiene care, drinking and drug use, etc.
