Forum topic: The 16 Personality types...Myers Briggs....

Forum:

Do you know your type? I'm an ISFJ....My wife is ENTP....The difference alone is overwhelming....I would really like to do a study to see how many add/adhd people are ENTP's......I have attributed many things to add, that seem to be personality....

I'm not saying add issues mirror ENTP personalities....What I'm saying is, I would like to know if add follow's certain personality types....(nature)...Or, if certain personality types follow add...(nurture)

To me, ENTP's and add are the perfect storm....But, I would truly like to hear from others, who have study this.....

I am also ISFJ.  I am not sure my DH would be able to concentrate and comprehend enough to do a personality test. I do know he is extroverted. It would be interesting to know his type. Off to Google ENTP...

After living w/ my wife for 10 years and recently reading about ENTP's (again) in depth....The Myers Briggs test is scary accurate....It pegged me quiet accurately also...I think if people who are struggling in their relationship ( like we have quiet a lot) would take the time to do the test...It can help w/ understanding difference, that we might wrongly dump on the add/adhd label....

Hi C,

I find it interesting that you and your wife are opposites in every way! I dated an ISTJ but it didn't work out. We fought CONSTANTLY!

My boyfriend and I have the best time when we are together. He told me about his ADHD right away. I didn't think to research it right away as I REALLY enjoyed being with him! Hyperfocus is heavenly!

If I knew at the beginning what I'm learning now I would have ran for the hills! I'm in love with him so now it's too late.

I'm hoping to learn what it takes to make a relationship work with a man with ADHD.

It would be interesting to see what personality types tend to get diagnosed with ADHD. I remember reading that ENFPs tend to have it. Of course there are exceptions like myself!

I know this is an old thread, but I'd not seen it before. Interesting that I am an ISFJ and ex-husband an ENTP.

Same as us....I guess that's part of the connection I've felt with you (Your posts)....I'm also a HSP (highly sensitive person)...Which helps nothing!!! LOL, with a wife who don't hardly cry, and who seems oblivious to her words and behaviors....

I hope you guy's work it out (peacefully! :)...Adhd doesn't have to be death to a relationship....What is death, is a mind in denial, that refuses ownership of behaviors...When any of us live intrusive/abusive and justify it, we can't expect our spouse to stand and put up with it....Everybody's life is important, everybody deserves to be loved and respected...It's pretty simple math <3

Blessings
