Similar story here. Father was probably ADD and I guess it seemed like familiar territory when I met my ADD husband. If we had any idea about what we were dealing with I might have been able to help my daughter who has been diagnosed with BPD but, I'm not sure. Her dad is definitely ADD. I would think that early intervention would help everyone involved live a much more productive and peaceful life. It has been very challenging as my SO will medicate but not educate himself. I've found that living in a detached and independent manner helps me take care of myself. Be sure to take care of you too!
