Do men with ADD often suffer from depression? Are they able to see the problems they cause and feel bad about it? ie before they receive treatment and counselling?

Similar story here. Father was probably ADD and I guess it seemed like familiar territory when I met my ADD husband. If we had any idea about what we were dealing with I might have been able to help my daughter who has been diagnosed with BPD but, I'm not sure. Her dad is definitely ADD. I would think that early intervention would help everyone involved live a much more productive and peaceful life. It has been very challenging as my SO will medicate but not educate himself. I've found that living in a detached and independent manner helps me take care of myself. Be sure to take care of you too!
