Am I the only one that is having this issue my wife came to me today and said that she wanted a divorce. That I spend all my time on the computer and that she is just tired and fed up. She says that she has begged with me to come to bed or watch a movie with her. I am a college student going on to get my Ph. D. after my bachelors. We have 2 kids the youngest 2 and the other 10. I am still in love this woman she is the love of my life what do I do. Is it me or the Ad/hd? I am on aderallxr 20mg.

I have been dealing with ADHD traits for as long as I can remember. I have used many of the creative "gifts" ADHD provides to make a successful living in advertising. Ideas seem to come naturally. I think in different ways. That seems to have helped forge a career. For this I am thankful.

There are good days and bad days....

I see a lot of frustration posts on this site and there may already be a post out there on this subject, but I am unable to find it so I thought I'd bring up the topic here and get some other opinions. 

My ADD spouse has been unemployed for over 15 years.  Now that he is "diagnosed" with ADD, he claims that he could never work at a real job because he can't deal with people with his ADD.  I have been the sole bread-winner all this time, which, ironically, he resents, as he says it gives me all the power, and apparently makes him feel like a big loser.  I have been at my job for over 20 years and am really tired of supporting him, I need a break myself!  He's been taking Strattera for over a year, and he thinks he sees a difference, but I honestly think he's worse, has many more "explosio

My in laws came to visit us over the weekend. His mother is very controlling and want things her way. I have try to please them as much as I can. Still my husband tend to blow it off with his mother over small thing. Such as so when are you coming over to our place. she said at 10:00 am but noon she is still not here... she shows up at 1 pm. He get mad and start a fight. then they cool off... then she starts picking on him, why your shirt has a hole in it and you are wearing it. You need to check this out you can't have this here or there. Why you kid is eating that...

It is so hard to be upset and frustrated with my DH.  When I am home, on the weekends, he is more relaxed and focuses better.  I know he gets frustrated with me cause I am not sitting with him watching TV or cleaning house, but I need my down time also, and he has come to realize that also. He is also all over the TV stations and can't watch one certain show all the way through, which bugs me beyond belief.

My wife has two sisters, both younger.   The youngest has given up having any sort of relationship with my wife due to extremely poor behavior towards her child.   The other sister is an enabler and my wife knows she can have power over her by yelling really loud for a long time.   It's a power tactic and her sister caves in and agrees with my wife in order to maintain a sort of peace between them.   This enabling has caused problems because they twist information between the two of them continually.   I've tested this by responding to this sister's interest in helping us work out our dif

My DH lost is dad last October and has realized that his dad was his enabler his whole life.  My DH is now lost and knows that he needs to learn how to handle his life by himself.  We have been married 8 years and are in our early 50's so no youngsters here.  I find myself very frustrated that he can't seem to get a handle on his life.  He is seeming a counselor and does well with the sessions, but not at home.  We were supposed to write down 5 things that we would like our spouse to work on.  That was 3 weeks ago...I have done mine....but he hasn't done his. 

 I've been mildly struggling with ADHD probably since childhood but of course, I just thought I was stupid. Into adulthood, I began to joke about it around people, saying I should have been born a blonde.

I decided to make this its own topic since I found a response by Aspen in a response to a post by Hoping4More about the unacceptability of eye rolling, sighing, huffing, and storming as a response to a disagreement.
